Outside Of The Office
I am fluent in English, Russian and Romanian and love traveling with my husband and our three kids. We like to explore new places, try new foods and learn about other cultures.
My biggest motivation to become a dental hygienist is to help others, as I was inspired by a great dental hygienist. When I moved to United States from a small Easter European country, Moldova, at 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Mild Chronic Periodontitis. Since then, I decided that I wanted to help others and educate them about the importance of proper oral hygiene.
Over the years of practicing dental hygiene, I developed several ways to help patients feel more comfortable. Communication is vital in and I always ask each patient about their comfort needs, sensitivity and past dental experiences. I explain every procedure to the patients before starting it. Another way I help make my patients feel comfortable is to provide a gentle and efficient dental care.
To help keep my patients hygiene in great condition outside of their visit, I always encourage them to stick to a regular routine of brushing and flossing. At the cleaning appointments, I will make patients aware of any areas in need of extra attention to prevent further decay.
